How would you describe Hope UMC?
Hope is small, friendly church.  We average around 100 people in worship.  The people of Hope love their church because of the family atmosphere.  You won’t get lost in the crowd at Hope.
What is the style of the worship service?
Our worship service is a traditional United Methodist service.  Our congregation loves to sing the classic hymns that have defined United Methodist worship.  That doesn’t mean we don’t sing the occasional newer song as well. Our service has a choir and the singing is accompanied by piano and /or organ.  Each week, we have a time of prayer where we share our joys and concerns and pray the Lord’s prayer together.  The preachiing focuses on the weekly scripture and what it means for us today.  Communion is served on the first of the month.
Do I need to be a member to partake in communion?
No, we offer an open table for all who desire to come to Jesus.  It is the Lord’s table, not a United Methodist table.
What should I wear?
Come as you are, the dress is casual.  Normally, the only person wearing a tie is Pastor Paul!
Do you have anything for kids?
Our children’s ministry is called Kids for Christ and meets in a room in the back of the Sanctuary after the choir anthem (15 minutes into the service).  Kids for Christ is for children in elementary school (k-5).  At this time, we do not have a staffed nursery.
